Maxine Douglas

Maxine Douglas writes in many genres and has found a love for western historical romance. A Wisconsin native, Maxine now resides in Oklahoma where a small piece of red dirt has her name on it. While Maxine may miss her family and friends in the north, she loves the mild winters Oklahoma has to offer. She and her late husband have four grown children, two granddaughters, a great-granddaughter, and a grey and white tabby. And many friends she now considers her OK family.

Maxine’s novel, Red River Crossing, book 1 in the Men of the Double K series, was the 2019 International Digital Award winner in the Historical Short category; Elizabeth, book 1 in the Widows of Blessings Valley series, was a finalist in the 2019 International Digital Awards, and book 3 in the Brides Along the Chisholm Trail series, The Marshal’s Bride, was a 2017 International Digital Award Finalist in the Western Historical-Short category.

Maxine is a current member of Oklahoma Writers Federation, Inc. and its affiliates Oklahoma Romance Writers Guild, Inc., and Central Region Oklahoma Writers.
