Columbus native Jacki Barr is a proud participant and supporter of the local art community. Before she began writing, Jacki devoted her free time to creating pastel and charcoal portraits, along with greeting cards.

A member of the International Women’s Writing Guild and the Ohio Writers’ Association, Jacki is also active in a local book club and a writers’ circle.

Her debut novel, “Illegal Fear,” is one of several stories she’s written through the years, and it draws on Jacki’s life experience as a paralegal.

Married with grown children and grandchildren, Jacki was delighted to begin sharing her stories with the publication of her first story in 2025.
